Shakthi Traders

We are based in Edappazhinji, which is right in the Sasthamangalam area. It's a busy part of town and our trading business keeps us on our feet from the moment we unlock the doors. We deal with a variety of goods and our space is often packed to the ceiling with crates and boxes. It’s not the most organized-looking place, but there’s a system to the chaos that only we really understand. When you’re in Sasthamangalam, you expect a bit of noise and a lot of traffic, and that’s exactly what we have outside our doorstep. Most of our day is spent unloading deliveries and then sorting them out for the people who come to buy from us. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on being here every day and knowing what our customers need. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint and the desk is cluttered with old ledgers, but it works for us. We’ve built up a lot of relationships with other traders in the area over the years. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is humid, but we like the pace of it. We’re just local people running a trading spot and making sure we have enough stock for whoever walks in next. It is just a regular job that we take seriously without making a big fuss.
