Royal Architects

Royal Architects is based in the Temple Building on Airport Road. We are specifically in the Pallimukku area of Thiruvananthapuram. Our office is filled with rolls of paper and old models of buildings we’ve worked on. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. Being an architect here involves a lot of back-and-forth between the office and various sites. We spend our days sketching out ideas and then figuring out how to actually build them within a budget. The Airport Road can get pretty loud with the traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't use a lot of big words or try to act like we know everything. We just look at a piece of land and try to figure out the best way to put a building on it. Sometimes the ideas work out perfectly, and other times we have to go back to the drawing board and start over. It’s a lot of trial and error. We work with a few local contractors to bring the drawings to life. Most of our clients come from the neighborhood or are friends of people we’ve worked for before. We like the Temple Building because it’s a sturdy old place and easy to find. We aren't looking to become a giant firm; we just enjoy the process of designing and seeing things get built. We have been doing this for a long time and the routine just works.
