O.V. Lukose Foundation

We are the O.V. Lukose Foundation. Our office is at 405-Dottathayil, which is inside the Old Mugal Palace Building. It’s an interesting old place to be based. The building has a lot of history, even if it looks a bit worn down now. We have been in room 405 for a while. It’s not a large space, but it’s enough for what we do. We mainly focus on local issues and helping out families who are having a hard time. The foundation was set up in the name of O.V. Lukose to carry on the kind of work he was known for. We don't have a lot of people working here, just a couple of us who manage the day-to-day stuff. We keep our own records and answer the door ourselves. There is no corporate ladder here. We are just regular people trying to be helpful. Sometimes we get a bit behind on our paperwork because we spend too much time talking to the visitors. But we think that’s more important anyway. We don't have any fancy signs or advertisements. People find us by word of mouth mostly. We just try to be a reliable place where someone can go when they need a bit of support. It’s a quiet building most days, but we like the atmosphere here. We plan to stay for as long as they’ll have us.
