Omega Electronics

Our workshop is located in the Industrial Estate in Pappanamcode. It is a typical industrial area, so there are plenty of sheds and bigger buildings all around us. Omega Electronics has been here for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the way things work in the estate. It’s a lot of manual work and the smell of solder and grease in the air most days. The building we are in is simple, just four walls and a roof that keeps the rain off. During the monsoon season, it gets really loud when the rain hits the metal, and we have to speak up to hear each other. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It is mostly just workbenches and shelves full of parts. The roads inside the estate are a bit bumpy and can get muddy when it pours. We usually start our day early when the air is still a bit fresh. There is a small canteen nearby where we get our lunch and talk about the news. Most of the people working here have been with us for years. We aren't trying to be something we're not. We just show up at the Pappanamcode estate, do the work that is waiting for us, and head home in the evening. It is a quiet, straightforward life here in this part of town.
