Oceano Chemicals

Oceano Chemicals is tucked away at Vmc/Xvii in Puthenchantha, right by Varkala P.O. Being in Varkala is interesting because people usually think of it as a place for holidays and the beach, but for us, it is where we do our daily work. We handle various chemicals and supplies from this location. It’s a modest setup, mostly a warehouse area with a small partitioned section that we use as an office. The salt air from the coast can be a bit tough on the metal and equipment, so we have to stay on top of maintenance more than businesses further inland. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but that keeps things quiet enough for us to focus on what we’re doing. We have a small crew, mostly locals who have been with us for years. There is no big hierarchy here; we all just pitch in where it's needed, whether that is loading a delivery or filing some invoices. The floor is concrete and often has a few scuff marks from the crates being moved around, but that’s just a sign that we are actually doing something. We don't use big fancy words to describe ourselves because we are just a local chemical business. We open up early, check our lists, and make sure everything is where it should be. It is a simple way of working that has suited us since we started at this address in Puthenchantha.
