We run Naz Refrigeration And Air Conditioning from Vinod Nivas in Thiruvananthapuram. Kerala is very hot and the air is always salty and humid, so people are always calling us about their cooling systems breaking down. Our workspace is more of a storage room for tools, gas cylinders, and old fridge parts that we keep for spares. It’s a bit of a mess, but we know where everything is tucked away. We spend most of our day out on the road, going from house to house or visiting small shops that need a fix. The bike is our main way to get around because the traffic in town can be a real nightmare during peak hours. When we are back at Vinod Nivas, we are usually cleaning our gear or trying to fix a compressor that someone brought in. It’s greasy work and our hands are always stained with oil and dust. We don't wear fancy uniforms; just regular clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. There’s no big sign or flashing lights outside our place. It’s just a simple spot where we handle calls and keep our spare parts. Sometimes people drop by just to ask for advice on which AC to buy. We tell them what we know based on what we’ve had to repair the most. It’s a simple life for us. We work when there’s work, and in the rainy season, we just keep things ticking along.
