Modern Dental Clinic

Living and working on Beach Road in Kovalam is definitely interesting. The clinic is right near the Light House in Vizhinjam, so we get a lot of that sea breeze coming in when the door is open. It’s not a very big space, but it works for what we do. Modern Dental Clinic has been here long enough that most of the neighbors know us by name. Some days are really quiet, mostly when it’s raining hard or the tourist season is off, but other times it gets packed with people who had an emergency while on vacation. We have a few chairs and the basic stuff for fixing teeth. It gets a bit sandy inside sometimes because of the location, so we spend a lot of time sweeping the floor. The light from the lighthouse is a constant reminder of where we are. We don't have any flashy signs or big TV screens in the waiting room. There is just a small desk where we keep the files and a couple of benches for people to sit on while they wait their turn. Most of our day is spent cleaning tools or talking to patients about their families while we work. It’s a steady pace, nothing too fast, and we like it that way. If you walk past the lighthouse, you can’t really miss us. We’re just a regular part of the street here, doing our job day after day.
