Matsyafed

We are located in Kamaleswaram, near the Manacud P.O. area. Most people around here know Matsyafed because we’ve been part of the landscape for quite some time. Dealing with fish and everything that goes with it is what our days look like. It’s not a quiet job. There’s a lot of coming and going, trucks moving, and people checking on the catch. The office here in Kamaleswaram is where we try to keep it all organized. It’s usually a bit messy, with papers and folders everywhere. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a place to work. Manacud is a busy part of town, and we fit right in with the noise and the activity. Some mornings start really early, before the sun is even up, because that’s just how the fish business works. We don't talk much about strategies or visions. We just focus on getting the fish from the water to the people who need them. It’s a lot of practical, hands-on work. Sometimes the equipment breaks down or the weather is bad, and we just have to deal with it. It’s not always pretty, but it’s what we do. We've been here at this P.O. address for years and don't plan on going anywhere. It’s home for us and our work. I guess it's just in our blood now and we wouldn't know what else to do with our mornings.
