Matha Ayurveda Eye Hospital (Kudappanakunnu) Private Limited is tucked away on Jayaprakash Lane, near the Kudappanakunnu P O. Being on a lane instead of the main road means it is a little harder to find at first, but it’s much quieter once you get here. The road leading up to us is narrow and has a few potholes, so you have to drive carefully. Our building is a bit older and has a comfortable, lived-in feel to it. There’s a small garden out front with some medicinal plants, though they don’t always look perfectly manicured. Inside, the walls are a simple shade of white, and we have wooden benches for the patients. We don’t have a big fancy lobby with air conditioning that freezes you out. Instead, we just have some ceiling fans that hum away all day long. The staff is like a small family, and we often share tea and snacks in the back office when things are slow. We do a lot of traditional eye treatments, so the smell of warm oils is always present in the hallways. Our patients are mostly from the local area and they appreciate the straightforward way we do things. We don't have any shiny brochures or a big PR team. We just focus on our daily routines and making sure we have enough supplies for the next day's treatments. It’s a plain, honest place that suits the neighborhood perfectly. We like it that way and just keep going.
