Kaveri Tourist Home

Kaveri Tourist Home is situated at Tc 25/1659(2) on S S Kovil Road. This is right in the Thampanoor area, not too far from the GPO in Trivandrum. If you know the area, S S Kovil Road is famous for the temple and all the shops that line the street. It’s a very busy part of town because the railway station and the main bus stand are both just a few minutes away. We get a lot of foot traffic past our door every single day. The building itself is tucked in among many others, and it has that classic look of a place that’s been part of the city for decades. We have some basic rooms and a small area where we sit. It isn’t a place with a lot of bells and whistles, just a solid building where people can stay. The morning starts early here with the sound of temple bells and the first buses starting their routes. We’re usually up before the sun to get things ready. Thiruvananthapuram 695001 is where we call home and we wouldn't really want to be anywhere else. Sometimes the road gets blocked with festivals or processions, but that’s just part of the charm of living near the Kovil. We have a lot of regular people who stop by when they are in town. It’s a plain, honest kind of place where we just do our work and look after the building. We have been part of this street for years.
