Kaumudi Studio

Kaumudi Studio is right in the middle of Nedumangad, specifically on the Town Road near Sathram Junction. You can find us pretty easily because we are situated right opposite the Municipal Office. Being in such a central spot means we see a lot of people passing by every single day. We have been doing photography and studio work here for a long time now. It’s a family-style environment where we all know each other’s habits. The studio itself has that old-school feel to it, with some of the older equipment still sitting around alongside the newer stuff we had to get. People come in for all sorts of reasons, like getting pictures for official documents or sometimes for family portraits. We don't have a big reception area or anything, just a few chairs for people to wait. The noise from the junction outside is constant, but it’s just the sound of the town moving along. We try to be helpful to everyone who walks through the door, whether they are in a hurry or want to chat for a bit. It’s a busy life here in Nedumangad. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, but that’s just how it goes sometimes. We’ve seen the town change quite a bit from our window over the years. We just keep our heads down and keep taking our photos. It's a simple living and we are happy to be part of the community here. We still have some old frames on the walls that have been there for decades.
