Igcse Tutorials

Igcse Tutorials is based right in the middle of Chalai. If you know Thiruvananthapuram, you know that Chalai is always moving and can be quite loud. We have our little space here where we focus specifically on the IGCSE curriculum. It is a very specific syllabus, so we spend most of our time looking at those particular textbooks and old past papers. It’s not a huge center, just a local spot for students who need that extra bit of help outside of their regular school hours. We get kids from different parts of the city coming in to see us. Sometimes the market noise outside is a bit distracting, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't really do much in terms of marketing or flyers. Usually, parents just tell other parents about what we do here. We keep things very basic and simple. There are tables, chairs, and a lot of printed notes stacked up. We don't have any fancy technology, just whiteboards and some markers. It feels like a real, old-fashioned classroom. We try to stay organized, but with so many different subjects being taught, the folders tend to pile up on the desks. It’s a hands-on kind of place for learning. We just sit down and go through the lessons one by one. If a student doesn’t get something, we try a different way to explain it until it clicks. It’s honest work. We’ve been here in Chalai for a long time and plan to stay for the foreseeable future.
