Holiday Inn

Our place is called Holiday Inn and we are located at Varuvilakathu House in Venganoor, Kerala. We are very close to the local Health Centre, so that’s the easiest way to find us if you are new to the area. This isn't one of those big hotel chains you see in the city. We are a smaller setup here in the village. Venganoor is a nice, quiet place compared to the busier parts of Thiruvananthapuram. We’ve been here for a while, and our family runs the place. It’s a simple house that we’ve put to use for our guests. We don't have a big lobby or a dedicated concierge desk. Usually, one of us will just meet you at the door when you arrive. The garden around the house needs a bit of work sometimes, but it’s a peaceful spot to sit in the evenings. We focus on giving people a place to stay that doesn't feel like a sterile hotel room. It’s a bit more personal here. Sometimes the neighbors’ cows wander nearby, and you can hear the birds in the morning. We don't use any fancy booking systems or anything; it’s mostly just us answering the phone and writing things down in a notebook. We just try to keep things clean and comfortable for whoever comes through. It’s a basic life here in Kerala and we like it that way. We aren't looking for luxury, just a quiet place to rest.
