Our office is part of the Southern Air Command located in Akkulam, Trivandrum. This is a Govt Of India establishment. You’ll find us working under Air Cmde Gr Prasad Vsm in the administration department. Being part of a military command means things are usually kept very orderly. However, we are just normal staff members doing our daily jobs. The climate here in Kerala is very humid. We often have the rain pouring down outside our windows for days on end. Time is spent managing records. We make sure the administration side of the command is running like it should. We don't have any fancy brochures or slogans. We just have our desks, our ledgers, and our computers. It’s a lot of routine work. It requires us to be careful and thorough. We mostly talk about mundane things. Often we discuss the commute or what’s for lunch. Most of us have been here for years. We know the ins and outs of the office perfectly. We aren't trying to sell anything. We aren't trying to convince people of a mission. We just provide the necessary support for the command from our spot in Akkulam. The Pin code 695031 area is a bit out of the main city center. This makes it a bit quieter for us. We can focus on the mountains of paperwork we deal with every week. It’s just simple work for the central government.
