Dream Home Furniture

Dream Home Furniture is based out of the St. Ignatius Knanaya Centre in Pattoor. It’s a recognizable spot in the neighborhood, which makes it easier for people to find us. Our space is mostly filled with pieces of furniture, some finished and some just getting started. There is always the smell of wood and varnish in the air, which you get used to after a while. We aren’t some big corporate chain with a shiny glass building. It’s more of a workshop feel here. We spend a lot of time moving heavy items around, so the floor has its share of scuffs and marks. There’s a small corner where we keep the invoices and the phone, but the rest is for the furniture. People from Pattoor drop by often, sometimes just to look or ask about a specific type of wood. We don’t have a sales team or anyone in a suit. It’s usually just a couple of us with dusty clothes and a tape measure handy. Dealing with furniture is heavy work, and by the end of the day, we’re pretty tired. We just try to get the pieces put together right and delivered where they need to go. It’s a simple business. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make sure the tables and chairs are sturdy enough for a home and keep the shop open for whoever needs us next.
