CHERIYIL NIDHI LIMITED

Our office is in the Cheriyil Building over in Karette, which is part of the Vamanapuram area in Thiruvananthapuram. The building has been around for a while, and we are located at door number PP 12/96. We are a small Nidhi company that serves the local community here. Most of the people who come to see us are our neighbors or people from the next village over. We handle basic financial things, like small savings accounts and the kind of loans people need for their daily lives or small business ideas. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for the mornings when people stop by on their way to work. We don’t have any big signs or neon lights, just a simple nameplate on the door. The interior is just basic office stuff—desks, some chairs for visitors, and plenty of paper files. We don’t use a lot of fancy technology, just enough to keep the records straight and follow the rules. Being in a place like Karette, everyone knows who we are. We don’t need to do much advertising. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and wait for the first person to walk in. It’s honest work, and we take it seriously. We try to be patient with everyone, especially when explaining the different schemes. It’s just how we do things here in the Cheriyil Building.
