Our office is in A.R. Plaza, T C 11/43-6, right here in Thiruvananthapuram. It’s a typical commercial building with a lot of other offices around us. We’re education consultants, so our day is mostly spent talking to people about where they want to go for school. It’s a lot of looking at grades and trying to figure out which country fits someone’s budget. The office has a few desks and some very old filing cabinets that are starting to creak. We get a lot of sunshine through the windows in the afternoon, which makes it quite warm. Most of the time, we are just middle-aged people sitting around and drinking coffee while we look at computer screens. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just know where we are. We have a lot of conversations about the future and what people want to do with their lives. It can be a bit heavy sometimes, but we just try to keep it practical. Thiruvananthapuram is a good city for this kind of work because everyone is so focused on learning. We spend a lot of time on the phone with different departments and trying to get answers for the families who come in. It's just a regular job, but it keeps us busy from morning till evening. There is always a lot of work to do and not enough hours in the day.
