Angel General Store

Angel General Store is right on Nedumangad Road in Vellanad. If you’re walking or driving through, you’ve probably seen us. It’s a typical local shop where we try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves. It’s not a supermarket or anything, just a general store for the folks living around here. We open early in the morning and stay open until the evening. Usually, the busiest times are when people are heading to work or coming back home. We spend a lot of time stocking shelves and chatting with the neighbors who come in for milk or bread or whatever they forgot at the bigger market. The building has been here for quite some time. It has its quirks, like the door that squeaks a bit or the shelf that’s slightly crooked, but it works for us. Vellanad is a quiet enough place most of the time. We like being on the main road because we get to see everything that’s happening in town. There isn't a huge team running the place, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. We don't really do much in the way of fancy displays. We just put the items out so people can find them. It's a simple life, running a store like this. We just take it one customer at a time.
