We work out of the Romaa Paradise building which is located in Kutham-bakkam, out in the Thiruvallur area. Our office is up on the third floor in Block BI, unit number 324. It’s a bit of a way out from the center of Chennai, but we find it easier to work here where it’s not so congested. We deal with medical technologies, which mostly involves working with technical equipment and software systems. The building is fairly new, but the elevator has its days where it makes funny noises. We are a small team and we spend most of our time at our workstations. We don't have patients coming in or out since we are more on the technical side of things. There is a lot of construction happening in Irulapalapalaya lately, so there is usually some dust and noise from the trucks passing by. We keep a kettle in the corner for tea and coffee to get us through the long afternoons. It is a straightforward operation without any corporate fluff. We don't have big meetings or presentations. We just discuss things over our desks and get the work done. Finding the right block can be tricky the first time, but once you’re here, it’s a decent place to work. We aren't trying to be fancy, just focused on the tech side of medicine in our own quiet way. The commute isn't too bad if you leave early enough to beat the traffic.
