Our place, Vaisnavi Agarbatti Industry & Exports Llp, is located at D.No. 6/33 on Pillaiyar Koil Street in Shozhippalaiyam. This is part of the Sholavaram area. If you come by, you’ll probably notice the scent of incense in the air before you even see the door. We spend our days dealing with agarbatti, which is a traditional business around here. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping track of the production. We also handle the export side of things, which is a bit more complicated with all the rules and shipping requirements. The street we are on is quite narrow, so getting big delivery trucks in can be a challenge sometimes. We’ve had to get creative with how we load things up. It’s a family-run kind of atmosphere, not a cold office. There’s always someone coming in or going out with supplies. We don't spend money on fancy marketing or advertisements. Most of our work comes from people who know us or find us through word of mouth. We focus on the daily tasks like checking the dry time of the sticks and making sure the packaging is sturdy enough for a long journey overseas. It’s a dusty job, and at the end of the day, we are usually covered in some kind of powder. But it’s what we’ve always done in Sholavaram. We just take it one day at a time.
