We are located on the first floor of building number 36 on Old Township Office Road. This part of Ambattur OT, specifically Venkatapuram, is always moving. There’s a lot of noise from the street, but once you come up the stairs to our office, it’s a bit better. We deal with overseas education, so there are always folders everywhere with university names from different countries. It’s not a very big space, just a few desks and some chairs for visitors. We spend our day looking at forms and talking to students who want to go abroad. The building is older, which is why it's on Old Township Office Road. We have some cabinets filled with brochures that are a bit dusty. There’s a small balcony where you can look out and see the traffic on the road below. It’s a very normal office with basic furniture. We don't have any fancy coffee machines, just a kettle for tea. People come in with many questions about visas and entrance exams. We sit and talk through the details one by one. It’s practical work. The walls are mostly bare except for a few calendars and a clock that ticks quite loudly. It’s where we do our daily business, helping people figure out their next steps for school. Sometimes the printer jams when we are in a hurry, which is always a bit of a headache.
