If you look for No.17 on Dharmaraja Koil Street in Poonamallee, you’ll find us there. Spaikan Export Private Limited has been in this spot for a while now. The street is named after the temple nearby, so it can get quite crowded on festival days or even just on Friday mornings. We export goods, which means we spend a lot of our time looking at labels and making sure containers are packed right. The office is on a street that still feels like an old part of the town. We have a small team here, and everyone knows what they need to do without someone constantly telling them. It’s not a quiet place, with the sounds of the street coming through the windows, but it feels alive. We have a lot of crates coming and going, and sometimes they block the entrance for a few minutes while we move them. The fans are always going because Poonamallee gets really hot. We have a small corner where we make tea, and that’s usually where we stand and talk about the day’s work. We don't have a corporate handbook or anything. We just learn as we go and try to make sure everything gets where it’s supposed to go on time. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping our eyes on the details. We just keep the wheels turning day after day without too much fuss. It is a long walk to the main road but we don't mind.
