Rio Granite Private Limited is our small company. We are located at New No.28 in Ayyappan Nagar, which used to be Old No.1. The area is Periyar Pathai. It is one of those spots in the city that has a lot of history. We deal in granite stones. If you come by, you will see slabs and pieces of rock everywhere. It is a heavy business, literally. We spend a lot of time moving stone around and making sure the cuts are what people asked for. We do not have a polished showroom with bright lights. It is more of a yard where the real work happens. You might get some dust on your shoes if you visit, but that is part of the trade. Ayyappan Nagar is where we have set up our base. We know the local builders and the people living nearby. Sometimes people come in just to see what kind of colors the earth produces in stone form. We do not do much in the way of fancy talk. We just show you what we have in stock and tell you the price. The paperwork is handled in a small office on-site. It is a straightforward way to earn a living. We have been doing this for some time now and we like the physical nature of the work. It is just us, the stone, and the trucks that come to haul it away.
