Our place is at No.1/460 on Mount Poonamallee Road in Ayyappanthangal. If you know the area, you know that Mount Poonamallee Road is one of those places that never really sleeps. There is always a lot of dust and noise from the buses and lorries passing by our front door. The office of Rajarathinam Real Estates Privatelimited is just a basic ground-floor setup that we’ve used for a while now. It’s not anything you’d call fancy, just a room with some desks and a few chairs for when people need to sit down. We spend most of our time dealing with the paperwork that piles up and talking to the locals who walk past. The building is older and the paint is peeling a bit in the corners, but it’s home to us. Ayyappanthangal is a busy neighborhood, and we feel like we are right in the middle of it all. We don’t have a big staff, so it’s usually just a couple of us here keeping the lights on. Sometimes we have to move the furniture around to make more room for new files. There is a small tea shop a few doors down where we spend way too much time when we should be working. We don’t have any big corporate goals or anything; we just show up and do what needs to be done each day. It’s a simple life in a noisy part of town.
