On Mission Foundation

We are over here at No 10 A on 8th Avenue in Banu Nagar. If you know Pudur in Ambattur, you know it gets pretty busy during the mornings. Our place is just a regular spot where a few of us sit and handle things. It is not a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. Just some desks and chairs and a lot of papers. People stop by sometimes to ask what we are doing or just to say hello. The 8th Avenue street is mostly residential so it stays quiet after the school vans pass through. We have been here for a bit now. Sometimes the fan makes a clicking noise but we just ignore it. We spend most of the day coordinating with folks nearby. It isn't a glamorous life but it keeps us busy. The neighbors are nice, mostly families who have lived in Pudur for decades. You can hear the tea shop guy down the road clinking his glasses around 4 PM. We don't have a giant sign, just a small one so people don't get lost finding the door. It’s funny how everyone in Banu Nagar knows each other. We try to keep things simple and just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the internet goes out when it rains heavy, which happens a lot in Chennai. But we just wait it out. That is just how it is here.
