We are located at Plot No.8 in Nandini Nagar, which is quite close to Siva Garden in the Thirumuallaivoyal area of Chennai. The warehouse is a bit of a plain building but it holds everything we need to get out to the local hospitals. Most mornings start with checking the lists of what needs to go where. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons here, especially when we are loading the trucks with supplies. There are about six of us who handle the heavy lifting and the inventory tracking. Chennai traffic is always a headache, so we try to get the deliveries out as early as possible before the roads get blocked up. The neighborhood around here is mostly quiet, which is nice for a change. We have been working out of this spot for some time now and most of the local drivers know where we are. Sometimes the gates get stuck if it rains too hard, so we have to give them a good shove to get them open. We deal with a lot of different hospital items, mostly stuff like gloves, sheets, and the basic things they need every day. It isn't a glamorous job but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We usually have tea together in the late afternoon when the last truck has finally left for the day. It is just a regular business doing what we do.
