Chinnini Sriramalu Chetty Vivekananda Vidyalaya Matric School

Our school, Chinnini Sriramalu Chetty Vivekananda Vidyalaya Matric School, is located at 1 School Road in Maruthi New Town, Kakallur. It is right in the Jaya Nagar area of Tiruvallur. That is a bit of a long name to say, so most people around here just call us by a shorter version. We have been part of this community for many years, tucked away on this corner. The school road can get quite crowded with bicycles and scooters when the day starts. We follow the matriculation system and our classrooms are filled with students from all parts of Tiruvallur. The building is solid and has plenty of windows to let the air in, which is important during the summer months. We do not put on any airs or graces here. It is a straightforward place of learning where the focus is on the textbooks and the blackboards. Our staff consists of people who have lived in this town their whole lives. We know the parents and we often knew their parents too. There is a sense of tradition in how we run things, sticking to what we know works for the students. We are not looking to be the most modern school with all the latest gadgets; we just want to make sure the kids get their lessons right. It is a busy, honest place where everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing.
