Our office is located at No. 66 in the 2nd Block out here in Ambattur. It is a pretty standard spot in a busy part of town where there is always something going on outside. Abhima Overseas Consultancy is basically just a few of us sitting around desks that are usually covered in forms, folders, and passports. We deal with all the boring paperwork that comes with people wanting to go to other countries for work or study. It is a lot of checking dates and making sure every name is spelled exactly right. It can be pretty stressful for the people coming in, so we try to keep things calm, even when the rules change and the paperwork gets messy. We do not have a fancy waiting room with glossy magazines or expensive furniture. It is just some plastic chairs and a water cooler that we sometimes forget to refill. People come to us from all over the Tiruvallur area because they know we will actually talk to them. We spend our days staring at computer screens and calling different offices to see where an application is sitting. It is not glamorous work, but it needs to be done. The office gets a bit hot in the afternoon when the sun hits the front, but we have a small fan that helps. We have been in this block for a while now and we are just part of the local scene.
