Casper Cranes

You can find us over on Bhavani Amman Koil Street in Kannada Palayam. Our building is number 2/587. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, except when we’re moving the cranes in or out. The temple is nearby, which is a good landmark for people who get lost looking for us. We deal with cranes and lifting stuff, mostly. It’s a lot of maintenance work to keep them running smooth. We spend a lot of time checking cables and making sure the engines don't quit on us. The yard is usually full of heavy equipment. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We started out small and stayed that way on purpose. It’s easier to manage things when you know every nut and bolt yourself. My cousin helps with the paperwork, but mostly we are out back with the machines. It’s dirty work and our clothes usually show it by noon. We don’t have a fancy waiting room. If you come by, you’ll probably find us under a machine or talking to a driver. We just try to keep things moving. The weather here can be a pain when it rains, as everything gets muddy, but we manage. We’ve been in Kannada Palayam for a while and the neighbors don’t seem to mind the noise too much. It’s just a normal day-to-day business for us here on Bhavani Amman Koil Street, near the temple and the local shops where we get our lunch.
