Rockfort Electrical

If you walk down 181 Big Kammala Street, you’ll eventually run into us. Rockfort Electrical has been on this street for a bit now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a lot over the years. Our shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside. It’s just a storefront packed with boxes of switches, wires, and light fixtures. There’s usually a bit of dust on the top shelves because it’s hard to keep up with everything. Most mornings start with moving a few heavy crates so we can actually reach the counter. We don’t have a fancy system for everything; sometimes we just remember where we put a specific part because that’s where it’s always been. It gets loud out on the street with the bikes and the vendors, so we usually have to speak up a bit when we’re talking to someone. We aren’t interested in those big corporate ways of doing things. We like to keep it simple and direct. If someone needs a specific wire, we find it. If we’re out of stock, we tell them honestly. It’s a small team here, just a few of us who know the trade well. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp, especially during the afternoon slump when the heat starts to pick up. By the time we pull down the shutters at the end of the day, we’re usually ready for some quiet. It’s just honest work on a busy, noisy street that we have grown to love.
