Varsha Crafts

Varsha Crafts is tucked away inside the Ammr Building at No. 54 on G.H Road. It can be a little hard to find the first time because we don't have a massive sign out front. The shop is pretty full of things we’ve made or found, and honestly, it’s a bit cluttered. We have boxes stacked up in the corners and the main table is usually covered in bits of fabric, glue, and thread. My sister and I started this a few years back because our house was getting too full of our projects. Now we spend almost all our time here. Sometimes we get so caught up in a piece that we forget to even open the window for fresh air. The building is a bit old and the stairs creak, but we like the character of the place. We don't have a sales pitch or any marketing flyers. People just wander in from the street and look around at their own pace. We talk to the other shop owners on the floor quite a bit. It’s a nice little community we have here. We prefer the slow pace of making things by hand rather than buying stuff from big stores. Our work isn't always perfect, but that’s because a real person made it. We just like what we do and we’re happy to stay busy here on G.H Road.
