United Engineers Associates

Our place is at 15, H/6, right on the Bye Pass Road. We are very close to the New Bus Stand, so there’s always people walking past and buses rumbling by at all hours. United Engineers Associates is more of a practical operation than anything else. We don’t have a glossy brochure or a polished sales pitch. The office is mostly just a place to keep the records and escape the heat for a few minutes. Most of the real work happens outside or at the project sites. We’ve been at this location for a good bit of time and we’ve seen the bus stand area get more crowded every year. It’s a convenient spot for us, even if it’s noisy. We deal with all sorts of engineering and equipment stuff, and it can get pretty complicated sometimes. We just try to keep our heads down and stay on top of the maintenance. Some days it feels like we’re just chasing our tails with all the repairs, but that’s part of the life. We have a small crew and we all know what we’re supposed to do. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we disagree on how to fix something, but we get it done in the end. We aren't fancy people. We just know our machines and we know this road like the back of our hands.
