Ubdate Auto Store

Ubdate Auto Store is a small shop located at 45, South Car Street in Kombai. It’s a quiet enough town compared to the big cities, but South Car Street stays fairly active. We sell parts for cars and bikes, and we’ve been doing it for quite some time now. The building is one of those old ones with the heavy wooden doors that take two people to open in the morning. Inside, it’s a bit dark because we only have a couple of lights that actually work all the time. We don't have any flashy displays or neon signs. Most of our stock is just piled on wooden racks we built ourselves years ago. When someone comes in looking for a specific bolt or a lightbulb for their truck, we usually know exactly which pile it’s in. It’s not the most organized place to look at, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time talking to the locals who drop by just to chat while they pick up a bottle of oil or some cleaning rags. There’s no pressure here. We don't try to sell people things they don't need. If we can't fix something or don't have the part, we usually know someone down the road who can help. It’s just how things are done in Kombai. We close up when the sun goes down and start again the next morning. It’s a slow pace, but it suits us fine.
