Ls Mills Ltd.

Ls Mills Ltd. is located out on Madurai Road, and we’ve been using Post Box No. 12 for our business mail for a long time. Our mill is one of those big, old buildings that you see as you drive out of the city. It’s a textile operation, so the noise from the spinning machines is something that never really stops. Inside, there is always a bit of cotton lint floating around in the air, no matter how much we clean. It’s a hard-working environment. We have hundreds of workers who come in for their shifts, and many of them have been with us since they were young. The building has thick walls, but it still gets warm when all the motors are running. My office is a small room near the main gate where I can keep an eye on the trucks coming in with raw cotton. We don’t have any of those modern amenities you see in city offices. We just have sturdy tables, old cupboards, and a lot of logbooks. The road outside is always busy with lorries and buses, so it gets very dusty. We don’t have a big mission or a fancy philosophy. We just focus on making sure the yarn is of decent quality and the machines don't break down too often. It’s a lot of work to keep such an old mill running smoothly, but it’s what we’ve done for generations. We just keep the looms moving every day.
