Domdox Nidhi Limited is situated at D No 34 in Ward No 23. We are on Pusari Muthaiya Gowder Street in Cumbum. Theni district is a beautiful place but it gets very hot in the afternoons. Our office is a basic storefront where we handle the money for the local community. Pusari Muthaiya Gowder Street is a narrow road with a lot of houses and small shops. Most people who come to us live within walking distance. We have a small team here. We spend our days checking the deposits and making sure the loan paperwork is in order. There are no fancy computers or high-tech systems, just the basics to get the job done. Cumbum is a town where people know each other’s business, so we keep a friendly atmosphere. You can usually find a couple of elders sitting and chatting in the office. We don't mind. It makes the place feel more like a home than a bank. We keep the ledgers in big steel cupboards and we are very careful with the entries. Every penny has to be accounted for. The street outside is usually quiet except for the occasional scooter or vendor. We open early in the morning before the sun gets too high. It is a simple way of life and we have been doing this for long enough that it just feels natural. We are just part of the local scenery now.
