Gudalur is where we are based. It’s in the Nilgiris district, which is a beautiful part of Tamil Nadu. Specifically, we are at 10/258 on the Ooty-Mysore Road. You can’t really miss the road, it’s the main one connecting the two places and has a lot of movement. Our name is Vijaya Finance India Private Limited. We handle finance stuff, mostly for people in the local area. The office is a bit old-fashioned, but it does the job for us. We have been here for some time now. The weather up here is usually nice, so we don't always need the fans on. We deal with a lot of paperwork because that’s just how finance goes. It’s not a high-tech office with screens everywhere. Just some sturdy tables and chairs and a few filing cabinets. People stop by on their way to or from Ooty. We have our regulars who come in every month to settle things. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when the road gets busy with tourists in the summer months. We just focus on our ledgers and making sure the accounts are right. There’s no big corporate vibe here. It’s just us in a small building on the side of the highway. We get our work done and then we head home. It's a very straightforward way of doing business and we like it that way. No need for anything more complicated or fancy in our daily routine.
