Nilgiris Government Hospital Armed Force

This is the Nilgiris Government Hospital Armed Force up here in the Nilgiris. We are specifically at Quarter No 11, Sarm Quarters, in the Wellington Barrack area. It’s a very different setting compared to a city hospital. The air is cooler and it’s much quieter here. We serve the people connected to the barracks and the surrounding quarters. It is a government-run facility, so things follow a very specific protocol. We have various wards and medical staff who stay in the quarters nearby. The building is older, typical of the structures you find in Wellington. We do our daily shifts and handle the medical needs of the personnel and their families. It’s a very disciplined environment. We don't have fancy lobbies or anything like that. Everything is functional and serves a purpose. Sometimes the weather gets very foggy, which makes the walk to the hospital interesting. We provide basic and emergency care as needed. Being part of the armed forces infrastructure means we have a specific way of doing things. We don't advertise because our role is clearly defined within the barracks. It’s a steady job in a beautiful part of the country. We just focus on keeping the people here healthy and ready for their duties. Being at Quarter No 11 means we are right in the center of the quarters area. This is a very simple medical facility.
