Nilaadri Foods Private Limited is located up in the hills at Door Number 1/146 in Bettatty. It’s part of the Yedapalli Post area in Coonoor. Being out here in the Nilgiris means the weather is usually nice, but it makes moving goods a bit tricky with the winding roads. We aren't a big city operation. Our place is surrounded by greenery and it’s a lot quieter than the big towns. We focus on food products that come from around here. We’ve got a small group of workers who have been with us for a while. It’s more like a small community than a corporate office. We don't have fancy brochures or a website with lots of photos. We spend our time checking on the stuff we produce to make sure it's right. Sometimes the mist gets so thick you can't see the road, which slows everything down, but that’s just life in Coonoor. We handle the packing and the shipping ourselves. It’s a lot of manual work and we don’t mind getting our hands dirty. We didn't start this to get rich quick. We just wanted to work with the things that grow in our own backyard. It’s a simple life. We keep the machines running and the floors swept. If you ever drive up toward Yedapalli, you might see our sign. It’s nothing flashy. We’re just local people doing our best with what we have up here in the mountains.
