Metlife

Up here in the Nilgiris, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We are located in Sholur Village, specifically in the Ooratty area. It is the kind of place where everyone knows whose son you are, which is why the address mentions T.K. Rajan. Metlife operates out of this quiet spot surrounded by a lot of green. The air is much better here than down in the plains. Sometimes the mist gets so thick you can’t see the post office across the way. We deal with people from the village and the surrounding posts quite a bit. It is not a corporate office with elevators and glass walls. It is just a room with a desk and some old files. Sholur is a peaceful place to work. We have to travel a bit if we need anything major, but for daily stuff, we have what we need. The Nilgiris-643005 area is beautiful, but the roads can be a bit tricky when it rains. We usually wrap up early before it gets too dark because the mountain roads are not great at night. It is a humble setup. We do not spend money on fancy things. We just make sure the records are straight and the people who come by get what they need. It is a very local way of doing things, and that suits us just fine. Life is simple here, and we prefer it that way.
