Mkb Chamber Bricks

You can find us on Pillai Street. Mkb Chamber Bricks has been part of the Kaliyappa Nallur area for quite some time now. Our yard isn't huge, but we make it work. We use the chamber method for our bricks, which involves a lot of heat and timing. It’s a process we’ve gotten used to over the years. The street can get a bit cramped when we have big trucks coming in for deliveries. We try to be careful not to bother the neighbors too much. There’s no fancy lobby or air-conditioned rooms here. It’s just stacks of bricks and the smell of burning coal. We don't have a fancy title for everyone; we just all pitch in where needed. Some days I’m checking the accounts, and other days I’m helping load the pallets. Kaliyappa Nallur Post is where we get our mail, and the local postman knows us well. We don't do any big promotions or ads in the paper. We just keep the kiln going and hope the weather stays dry so the bricks cure right. It’s a lot of physical work, and by the end of the day, we’re all covered in soot. We’ve seen the area change a bit, but our brickyard stays pretty much the same. It’s a basic business run by people who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. We just show up every morning and get to work until the sun goes down.
