Sterling Swamimalai

Our place is located in the Thimmakudy Agraharam area, right by the Baburajapuram Post. It is a very traditional part of the region, and we try to keep that feeling here at the property. The building itself has a lot of history in the walls, and you can see it in the way the roofs and pillars are built. We are not like those modern hotels made of glass and steel. Around here, things move a bit slower than in the city. We have a lot of trees and open spaces on the grounds. Most of our day is spent looking after the gardens or making sure the rooms are ready for whoever arrives. It is a quiet life in Swamimalai, mostly centered around the temples and the local crafts. We have local people working here who know all the stories of the area. Sometimes the pipes act up because it is an older style of construction, but we fix things as they come. People come here when they want to get away from the noise and see something a bit more old-fashioned. We serve local food, the kind of stuff you would find in a home kitchen around here. It is not a fancy resort experience, but it is honest. We just open our gates and let people experience the peace of the village. It has been this way for a long time, and we do not see much reason to change.
