Sree Meenakshi Modern Rice Mill

Sree Meenakshi Modern Rice Mill is located at No : 299/1 on Rice Mill Road in Zamin Kollankondan. It is pretty easy to find because, well, the road is named after the business here. We have been milling rice for the local families for a long time. The building is sturdy but it has seen a lot of weather over the years. When the machines are running, you can feel the vibration in the floor. It is a very loud environment, so we usually have to shout to be heard over the noise of the paddy being processed. We don't have a fancy showroom or a reception desk. Usually, someone is just standing near the entrance to greet the farmers when they pull up. Zamin Kollankondan is a quiet place for the most part, but our mill is one of the spots that stays busy throughout the day. We spend a lot of time cleaning the equipment because the dust can really build up and cause problems. We don't go in for big marketing or try to sound like a huge corporation. We are just a local mill doing what we have always done. We handle the grain, we talk to the customers about the weather and the crops, and we make sure the bags are filled correctly. It is straightforward work and it fills our days from sunrise to sunset.
