Sengol Seafood Private Limited

You can find us right beside the Kollukkadu bus stop in Velivayal. It’s a small place in the Pattukkottai area of Thanjavur. Sengol Seafood is just a small private limited company we started to handle the local catch. Being right by the bus stop means there is always people around, waiting for their ride. We get a lot of dust from the road, and it can be a bit noisy with the buses pulling in and out all day. But it is a good spot for us because everyone knows where the bus stop is. We aren't some big industrial factory. It’s a simple building where we sort through what comes in from the water. The heat in Thanjavur can be really something else, so we are always checking on our ice and cooling. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. We just know seafood and how to sell it. Most of the people working here are from the village or nearby. We talk about the weather and the local news while we work. It’s not a glamorous job, and your hands usually smell like fish by the end of the shift. But it’s honest work and it keeps the village going in its own small way. We just keep the shop open and wait for the morning deliveries.
