Select Steels

Select Steels is our little business over on Kollu Pet Street in Thanjavur West. We are at number 658, which is right near the Indian Bank, so it’s a landmark most people in the neighborhood recognize. Our shop is mostly filled with different types of steel rods, sheets, and tubes. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we have a system for finding what we need. We spend our days loading and unloading materials, and sometimes cutting them down to size for customers who come in. We don’t really do any big marketing or have a team of salesmen. It’s just us here, talking to whoever walks through the door. Some days it’s very quiet and we just spend time cleaning up the shop, and other days everyone seems to show up at once. Thanjavur West is a nice area to be in, and we like being on this street. We’ve known the other shop owners around here for a long time. We aren’t trying to grow into some huge company; we just like providing the steel that people need for their local building projects or repairs. It’s simple, honest work, and we’ve been doing it this way for quite a few years now. We just try to be helpful and make sure people get what they’re looking for when they stop by the shop near the bank and ask for help.
