Tanjore is a place with a lot of history, and you can feel that even on Post Office Street where we are based. Our address is 23/ 3D, and it’s a typical street in this part of Tamil Nadu. The post office is the main landmark, so no one ever gets lost trying to find us. The street itself is narrow and can get quite busy with scooters and people walking to the shops. Our office is in an older building that has a lot of character, even if the walls are a bit stained from the rain over the years. We have a small sign out front, but it’s nothing too big or flashy. Inside, the rooms are a bit small, and we have to be careful with how we organize our files and furniture so it doesn't get too cramped. We have a few ceiling fans that run all day to keep the Tamil Nadu heat at bay. It’s a very practical work environment. We don't have a lunchroom, so we usually just eat at our desks or head out to one of the small mess halls nearby for some rice. The people who work here have been doing this for a long time, and we all know the routine by heart. It’s not a high-tech setup, just some basic computers and a lot of ledgers. We just keep our heads down and get the work done as best as we can every day.
