Meera Interior Architects

We are located in Parvathi Nager, over in the Mukasa Nanjikottai area of Thanjavur. Meera Interior Architects is just a small place where we focus on making the inside of houses look decent. We don't have a big shop front or anything like that. Most of the time, we are out at different sites checking on how the wood work or the tiling is going. We started this because we saw a lot of people building houses but then getting stuck on how to finish the inside. We help with kitchens, cupboards, and deciding where the lights should go. It sounds simple but there is a lot of measuring and re-measuring involved. We use local carpenters and painters. Sometimes things go slow, and sometimes they go fast, that’s just how construction is. We don't try to act like we're some big city firm. We're just people from Thanjavur working for other people in Thanjavur. We know what materials work well in this heat and what stays looking good over time. If you come by the office, it might be quiet because we’re out working, but we always get back to people eventually. We’ve done a few homes in Parvathi Nager itself and some further out in the district. We like to keep things practical. A house has to be lived in, it isn't just a museum, so we keep that in mind when we design.
