Cholan Crane

We are set up right by the Mariamman Kovil Roundana on the Nagai Main Road. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always noise and dust from the passing buses and trucks. Cholan Crane has been a fixture here for a bit now. We keep our heavy lifting gear ready for whatever the local construction crews need. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, so we spend a lot of time drinking tea and waiting for the next job call to come in. Our setup is pretty basic—just a place to park the cranes and a small room for the paperwork and some spare parts. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to get the job done right and get home to our families. Sometimes the traffic at the roundana makes it really hard to move the big machines out into the lane, but we've gotten used to the timing. People in the area know us by now, so we don't need to do much advertising at all. We just focus on keeping the engines running and the cables strong. Working outdoors like this means you're at the mercy of the weather, but that's just part of the daily grind. It’s a tough way to make a living, but it’s what we know how to do here on Nagai Main Road. We just keep moving.
