Ask Stores

Ask Stores is located at 46 on the road that goes from Thiruthuraipoondi to Kodiakkarai. It’s a long stretch of road and we sit right there at number 46. We see a lot of trucks and buses passing by all day and night. The noise of the engines is something you just get used to after a while. We started this place because we saw how many people were traveling this way. It’s not a very large shop, but we’ve packed it with as much as we can fit. The Kodiakkarai Road is always busy, especially during the festival seasons. We have a small bench outside where people sometimes sit for a minute before heading back out. Inside, it’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are standing there at once. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just us, the counter, and the items we sell. We’ve been here at this Thiruthuraipoondi address for a few years now. The roof leaks a tiny bit when the monsoon is heavy, so we have to move things around then. It’s a simple life running Ask Stores. We know most of the drivers who stop by regularly. We just keep our heads down and keep the doors open for whoever needs us. It's a plain, honest spot on a busy road. We just do our work and keep the place going.
