Anu Hospital

The hospital is located right on Trichy Road, which is almost always busy with cars and bikes zooming past. We are quite close to the convent, so you can often hear the school bells if the windows are open at the right time. Thanjavur is a place where everyone seems to know everyone, and our building at No. 69 has become a bit of a landmark for people in this part of town. We’ve been running Anu Hospital for a good while now. It’s not one of those massive glass buildings you see in the big cities, but it’s sturdy and we have everything we need to take care of the people who walk through our doors. The nurses are usually busy running back and forth between the rooms, and there is always someone sitting on the benches in the hallway waiting for their turn. We try to keep things organized, though some days are more chaotic than others when a lot of patients show up at once. The smell of disinfectant is something you just get used to after working here for a few weeks. We have a small parking area out front, but it fills up fast on Monday mornings. People come from the surrounding villages too, not just from the city. We just focus on getting through the day and making sure everyone gets seen by a doctor eventually. It is a lot of hard work but we are used to the pace.
