You can find us at units 13 and 14 in the Jayamani Complex. We are right there in Yagappa Nagar, just off Pudukottai Road. It’s a busy little area and we have been here long enough that the shop smells like ink and warm paper. Most mornings start with moving things around to make space. It’s a bit cramped with the machines taking up most of the room. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a bench by the door. The noise of the printing is constant but you get used to it after a week. My brother helps me with the heavy lifting when the paper rolls arrive. We often stay late when there is a big job to finish, eating dinner out of tiffin boxes on the workbench. The lights flickered for a week before we bothered to change the bulb. We aren't corporate people. We wear comfortable shoes because we are on our feet all day. Pudukottai Road is always loud with bikes and trucks passing by. Sometimes kids from the neighborhood stop in just to see what we are making. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The floor is stained with different colors from years of spills. It’s not perfectly clean but it’s a working shop. We take things as they come and try not to stress too much when a machine acts up. It's just how it goes here every single day.
